About the Role

Clintar Brampton, ON is seeking a highly skilled Snow Removal Lead to join our team for the winter season. As a Snow Removal Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of snow removal professionals in clearing and de-icing designated areas, such as parking lots, sidewalks, driveways, and roadways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Snow Team: Direct crew members in de-icing and snow removal tasks, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
  • Snow and Ice Removal: Remove snow and ice from designated areas using snowplows, snow blowers, shovels, and salt or de-icing agents.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections of snow removal equipment to ensure safe and effective operation.
  • Safety Protocols: Ensure all snow removal activities are conducted safely, including the proper use of safety gear and equipment.
  • Communication: Coordinate with supervisors, property owners, or managers to provide updates on snow removal progress and any problems that may arise.
  • De-icing Operations: Apply salt or other de-icing agents to surfaces to prevent ice formation and improve safety.
  • Heavy Machinery Operation: Operate heavy machinery such as snowplows, front-end loaders, or snowblowers proficiently and safely.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, such as heavy snowfall during the night, to ensure safety and accessibility.
Requirements
  • 1-year experience as a snow removal crew lead
  • Must possess a cellphone with data
  • From November – April, must be available on short notice and on-call depending on weather conditions and storms
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Familiarity with sidewalk tractors
  • Proficiency in operating snow removal equipment safely
  • Experience being a supervisor and managing a team preferred
  • Good customer service skills are essential to handle inquiries and requests professionally
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Reliability and the ability to respond to emergencies or work during irregular hours, such as nights and weekends, may be required
