The Shift Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing work schedules that meet the needs of our kitchen staff.

Supervise and Coordinate Staff

The Shift Manager will supervise and coordinate the activities of our kitchen staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet our quality standards.

Train Staff in Job Duties

The Shift Manager will be responsible for training new staff members in their job duties, as well as ensuring that all staff members are aware of our sanitation and safety procedures.

Estimate Ingredients and Supplies

The Shift Manager will be responsible for estimating the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet our needs.

Ensure Quality Control

The Shift Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our food and service meet our quality control standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates

The Shift Manager will be responsible for preparing budget and cost estimates for our kitchen operations, ensuring that we are operating within our means.

Address Customer Complaints

The Shift Manager will be responsible for addressing customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Maintain Records

The Shift Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we have a clear picture of our kitchen operations.

Prepare Reports

The Shift Manager will be responsible for preparing regular reports on our kitchen operations, highlighting areas for improvement and suggesting changes as needed.

Requirements
  • Education

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.

Experience

7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.

Language

English.

Permanent.

Hours

37.5 hours per week.
