We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Long Haul Overland Transportation Specialist to join our team at Sea to Sky Courier and Freight Ltd.

Job Description:

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires the successful candidate to drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions using computer equipment and GPS navigation devices
  • Loading and unloading goods, as well as performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
  • Operating vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and regulations, while adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Maintaining accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo during transportation
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Certifications/Licenses: Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Skills: Attention to detail, judgement, reliability, and strong communication skills
Benefits:
  • Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and location
