Our Ideal Candidate
You will be capable of scoping, budgeting, designing and managing industrial projects. Your duties will include:
- Managing a wide variety of projects in the industrial sector, including brownfield and greenfield projects focused on mining, oil and gas and pulp and paper.
- Interface directly with clients, team members, contractors, and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations.
- Collaborate with a multidiscipline project team comprised of engineers, designers, project coordinators, and others, to execute engineering projects.
- Liaise with clients to understand project needs, scope requirements, and provide the client with project updates.
- Proactively resolve performance, scope, and schedule issues to ensure completion of work within allotted schedules and budgets and to high quality standards.
- Create proposals and fee estimates.
- Manage client relations at both a technical and commercial level to achieve client satisfaction and leverage further opportunities.
- Communicating with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public.
- Performing business development and marketing activities to current and potential clients to generate future business.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in industrial projects.
- Knowledge of and experience with application of BC engineering standards.
- Strong project management, technical and analytical skills.
- Strong technical writing skills; experienced in the preparation of correspondence, reports and proposals.
- Effective verbal communicator, including presentation, facilitation and listening skills.
- Strategic, analytical and practical thinker.
