Exciting Opportunity in Fitness Leadership

We are seeking a highly motivated and certified Fitness Instructor to lead and instruct group exercise classes for our residents. As a Fitness Instructor with the City of St. John's, you will play a key role in promoting a healthy and active lifestyle in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging group exercise classes that cater to diverse fitness levels and interests
  • Provide guidance and support to patrons to help them achieve their fitness goals
  • Collaborate with other fitness professionals to develop and implement new programs and services

Requirements:

  • Relevant certification in fitness leadership, such as YMCA, CALA, or CanFit Pro
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current CPR Level C certification
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching fitness programs in a group setting
  • Knowledge of the High Five Principles of Healthy Aging

Working Conditions:
