About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Professional to join our team at Park Street Enterprises. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements, identifying and correcting any discrepancies or errors.
  • Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and best practices in bookkeeping and accounting, applying this knowledge to improve our financial processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, with experience in preparing financial statements and reports.
