Position Summary:
The Project Coordinator plays a vital role in the development and execution of energy storage initiatives. Key responsibilities encompass the coordination of project management and procurement activities, monitoring client commitments, managing customer interactions, and addressing non-conformances and contract adjustments. Familiarity with energy storage technologies, engineering concepts, and project management practices is advantageous. Proven experience in project execution is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist procurement and project management teams in coordinating project-related tasks.
- Contribute to the creation of project plans and communication materials.
- Proactively aid in schedule formulation and milestone tracking.
- Support the procurement manager in managing vendor relationships and commitments.
- Effectively relay project status updates.
- Oversee communication flow for contract submissions, project reports, invoicing, vendor submissions, and other documentation.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support subcontractor operations and oversee subcontractor schedules.
- Identify and manage critical paths to ensure task completion.
- Resolve unique challenges as they arise.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of business management tools for project execution.
- Identify areas for process improvement and assist in revising processes.
- Assist the procurement manager in preparing proposals and contract documents.
- Monitor the status and compliance of project documentation.
- Review and validate project documents for completeness and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Submit project proposals for management approval and ensure approved documents are transmitted to clients.
- Promote exceptional customer service.
- Understand and advocate for Canadian Solar products.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Procurement Manager.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of pertinent experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written, and visual).
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
- Experience with scheduling in MS Project (P6 is a plus).
- Attention to detail and precision.
- Aptitude for establishing effective working relationships internally and externally.
- Demonstrated independent thinking, initiative, and creativity.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Professional demeanor and conduct.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as necessary.
- Valid Driver's license, insurance, and reliable vehicle.
- Some travel to project sites may be required.
