Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to serve as our Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The successful candidate will provide visionary leadership and direction for viaSport, driving the growth and development of amateur sports in BC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for viaSport, aligning with the organization's mission and vision.
  • Develop and maintain enduring partnerships with government, private, and public sectors to drive revenue growth and support the development of amateur sports in BC.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and industry partners.
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans to drive the growth and development of amateur sports in BC.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to ensure the organization's strategic direction and goals are aligned.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in the sports sector, with a deep understanding of the issues and challenges facing amateur sports in BC.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining enduring partnerships with government, private, and public sectors.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and development.
  • Collaborative leadership style, with the ability to work effectively with the Board of Directors and other stakeholders.
