About the Job

This position is responsible for exercising used vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy and ready for delivery to customers. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exercise vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Inspect and accept inventory, ensuring it meets customer requirements
  • Record findings and make recommendations for repairs
  • Transport equipment around the yard, maintaining a clean and organized environment
  • Perform light mechanical work, including jump starts and fluid management
  • Coordinate with local Ryder shops or 3rd party service providers for repairs
  • Submit weekly exercise data via Teams

Requirements

  • Diploma or GED required
  • One year or more mechanical and/or customer service experience required
  • Class DZ Driver's license required
  • Knowledge of truck and trailer equipment
  • Ability to work in an outside environment
  • Customer focus and support
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
