Electromechanic Specialist

As an electromechanic, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, refurbishing and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment.

The role requires:

• Knowledge of quality and food safety standards, occupational health and safety regulations and company policies
• Installation, alignment, dismantling and movement of machinery using manual and electric tools, industrial equipment such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors and boilers
• Preventive maintenance to detect malfunctions and failures
• Reading blueprints, diagrams, schematics and procedures to determine course of action
• Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts
• Fabrication of parts necessary for repair, maintenance or assembly using machining tools
• Cleaning, lubricating and performing routine maintenance work on machinery and premises
• Troubleshooting and replacing motors
• Replacing photocells with wiring
• Performing minor electrical repairs
