About the Role:

Kulbir Kaur is seeking a reliable and caring Childcare Specialist to join our team. As a Childcare Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and supervision to infants and children in a home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Travel with families on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Keep accurate records of daily activities and health information regarding children.
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children, promoting their cognitive and social development.
  • Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition, promoting diversity and inclusion.
  • Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, helping them develop new skills and confidence.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, promoting cultural understanding and respect.
  • Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, promoting a fair and inclusive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in childcare or a related field.

Work Setting:

The successful candidate will work in a home-based setting, providing care and supervision to infants and children in a safe and healthy environment.

Work Language: English

Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
