Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tunnel Foreman to join our team. As a Tunnel Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising tunnel boring machine operations, ensuring safe and efficient tunnel construction, and maintaining high-quality standards. If you have a strong background in tunneling operations and a passion for leading teams, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise tunnel boring machine operations and ensure safe and efficient tunnel construction.
- Lead and manage a team of tunneling operations personnel.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Monitor and report on tunneling operations progress.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful project delivery.
- Secondary School or equivalent.
- Practical training, classroom, or simulation experience.
- Working knowledge of English.
- Familiarity with OSHA and aware of the meaning of 'Supervisor' under OSHA.
- MOL's required basic supervisory safety awareness training.
- 2-3 years experience with Tunnel Boring Machine operations.
- 2-3 years experience with Slurry TBM.
- 2-3 years experience in tunneling with concrete segment lining, 6.0 m. diameter.
- 2-3 years' experience with Herrenknecht equipment.
- $53 per hour. Shift workers will receive a shift premium in addition to their regular hourly rate.
- 37.5 hours/week and subject to overtime.
- Employees/Members of Local 183 receive Vacation & Statutory Holiday Pay, Health & Welfare Benefits, Pension etc. for a Total Wage Package of $76.55 per hour (not including Supervisor Premium).
