About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Shinobi Sushi. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety.
  • Operate dishwashers and washing machines to ensure all dishes, glassware, and utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Prepare and cook simple food items, such as vegetables and fruits, to support our culinary team.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas to maintain a well-organized kitchen.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and tidy kitchen environment.
  • Assist with food preparation, including peeling, slicing, and trimming foodstuffs, as well as sharpening kitchen knives.
  • Participate in cleaning and sanitizing tasks, including sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Permanent employment opportunity.
  • English is the primary language of communication in the workplace.
  • 30-40 hours per week.
