About the Role

Midas Aldergrove is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnostics and Repairs: Use state-of-the-art computer systems to diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues.
  • Tire and Wheel Services: Inspect, repair, and replace tires and wheels as needed.
  • Heating and Air Conditioning: Diagnose and repair heating and air conditioning systems in vehicles.
  • Steering and Suspension: Inspect and repair steering and suspension systems to ensure safe and smooth vehicle operation.
  • Brake Repair: Diagnose and repair brake systems to ensure safe and reliable vehicle operation.
  • Oil Services: Perform oil changes and other routine maintenance tasks to keep vehicles running smoothly.
  • Visual Safety and Courtesy Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential safety issues and provide recommendations for repairs.
Requirements
  • Provincial Certificate of Qualification: Hold a valid and current Certificate of Qualification in the province of Ontario.
  • Automotive Knowledge: Have a strong understanding of automotive systems, including brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires, and engine diagnostics.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Safety and Environmental Standards: Adhere to safety and environmental standards for repair facilities.
  • Shop Equipment and Tools: Have experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools.
  • Valid Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Own Tools and Equipment: Be able to provide own tools and equipment, including a diagnostic scanner and other necessary tools.
