Job Summary:

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive traffic, increase sales, and enhance the overall shopping experience at the Pen Centre. This role will report directly to the General Manager and will work closely with the National Director, Marketing and Digital Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a targeted marketing plan to increase traffic and sales
  • Collaborate with the National Director, Marketing and Digital Strategy to align marketing efforts with business objectives
  • Manage and execute marketing campaigns, including advertising, social media, and promotional activities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with tenants and customers to enhance the shopping experience
  • Manage the centre's website and ensure it is current, correct, and on-brand
  • Project the centre's image in line with BentallGreenOak's Services posture as a good corporate citizen and business leader in the community
  • Enhance and foster strong merchant relationships and participation levels
  • Manage a professional agency to develop a distinctive campaign and oversee the successful execution of the centre's creative and message strategies

Requirements:

  • Related post-secondary diploma or university degree
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing or related experience
  • Knowledge of retail industry and branding tactics an asset
  • Reliable transportation and ability to actively participate in mall events and set up
  • Superior oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships at all levels
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality
  • Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure, and manage tight deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities, and adapt to new ideas and constant changes
  • Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and multiple graphic/publisher programs
  • Well-versed in Social Marketing opportunities
  • Experience with the implementation and management of Social Media
  • A criminal verification check is required for employment
