We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Harold Schlichting. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-construction
    • Measure and mark surfaces to prepare for painting
    • Apply primers and paints to surfaces
  • Construction
    • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
    • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Post-construction
    • Inspect and touch up work to ensure high-quality finishes
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade
  • Work Environment
    • Ability to work at heights
    • Ability to work in noisy and dusty environments
  • Work Setting
    • Ability to work in various locations, including residential, renovation, construction, and commercial settings
  • Security and Safety
    • Ability to pass a criminal record check
    • Ability to wear steel-toed safety boots and safety equipment/gear
  • Transportation/Travel
    • Valid driver's license
    • Ability to travel regularly
