Aerial Lineman

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerial Lineman to join our team at Telecon. As a key member of our Outside Plant Team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining telecommunication cables and apparatuses in various locations.

• Install and maintain telecommunication cables and apparatuses in accordance with Telecon's Health and Safety policy
• Work outdoors in various conditions to place copper or fiber optic telecommunication cables
• Climb poles, ladders, and construction equipment to assist in the installation of telecommunication cables and apparatuses
• String cables between structures, manholes, poles, towers, or trenches and ensure proper tension
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment
• Accurately record and report project progress to supervisory personnel and communicate any issues or expected delays
• Work at heights up to and exceeding 30 feet

• High school diploma or relevant experience
• Valid Class 5 (with air brake certificates) or Class 3 (with air brakes certificates)
• 3-5 years' experience in Telecom Aerial Line experience
• Work at Heights and Confined Space Entry certifications
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good communication skills with the ability to work independently or in a team
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English
• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety and willingness to receive applicable Health and Safety training
