Job Summary

LINK-X TRANSPORT INC. is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Route Specialist, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate and efficient handling
  • Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring vehicle condition and safety
  • Operate and maintain vehicle equipment, including brakes, tires, and cold storage
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Communicate with central dispatch and relay information as needed
Requirements
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel cross-border, internationally, and overnight
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Working Conditions

As a Long Haul Route Specialist, you will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines. You will be expected to work independently, with minimal supervision, and make decisions quickly and effectively.
