About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Landscape Architect to join our team at LOCI Landscape Architecture and Urban Design Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative landscape solutions for various clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with architects and other professionals to develop multidisciplinary urban design studies
  • Conduct community and neighborhood physical planning studies to identify design opportunities
  • Confer with clients to determine design needs and develop tailored solutions
  • Oversee the preparation of site plans, reports, and land use studies to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare design plans, including sketches, models, photographs, and maps, to communicate design concepts
  • Develop detailed drawings of sites to ensure precise design implementation
  • Prepare specifications for landscape construction companies to ensure high-quality work
  • Survey and assess designated sites to identify design opportunities and challenges
  • Develop designs that take into account landscape features, buildings, climate, future usage, and other aspects
  • Conduct environmental design studies to ensure sustainable and eco-friendly solutions
  • Plan, manage, and supervise landscape construction work to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion
Requirements
  • Membership in a provincial association of landscape architects
  • Experience in business, industrial, institutional, park and recreation sites, residential, restoration and/or preservation, and streetscape settings
  • Computer-aided design (CAD) skills
  • Urban or regional planning experience
Work Environment

As a Landscape Architect at LOCI Landscape Architecture and Urban Design Inc., you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to sit for extended periods and have excellent attention to detail.
