Professional Machinist

Adecco Canada is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our client's dynamic Maintenance Department in Regina. In this full-time role, you will work closely with other tradespeople to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our industrial machinery.

• Workplace Safety: Adhere to policies, regulations, and compliances to maintain a safe working environment.
• Machining and Assembly: Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures and repair or assemble industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications.
• Equipment Operation: Operate hoisting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, and repair activities.
• Testing and Inspection: Test and provide constructive feedback on existing and newly manufactured equipment, and inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
• Maintenance and Reporting: Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating machinery, and prepare inspection and service reports.
• Training and Mentorship: Train and mentor apprentices and other staff on industrial repair practices.
• Installation and Alignment: Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
• Adjustments and Repairs: Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.

To be successful in this role, you will require a valid Red Seal certification as a Machinist, proven experience in industrial machinery maintenance and repair, strong reading and interpretation skills for technical documents, excellent problem-solving skills, and a team-oriented attitude with the ability to train and mentor others.
