Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanic to join our team at Toromont Cat. As an Electrical Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment, as well as performing preventative maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation to determine work requirements
  • Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment to identify issues
  • Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment
  • Perform on-site servicing and repair of electrical equipment
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is running efficiently
Work Environment

As an Electrical Mechanic, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. You will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces, and may be exposed to hazardous materials.

Requirements
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
