CFD Supervisor Level 1

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CFD Supervisor to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Toronto. As a CFD Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising, planning, and delivering a consistent child-centred program in accordance with our curriculum and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement age-appropriate programming to meet the needs of our members, ensuring compliance with YMCA, Board, Provincial, and Municipal standards.
- Prepare quality weekly program planning and monthly calendars in agreement with YMCA and Board goals.
- Develop and sustain good working relationships with families and Extended Day program staff team, providing leadership and guidance to implement and adhere to Parent Communication Standards.
- Ensure the implementation and maintenance of YMCA Playing to Learn through coaching and guiding centre staff, maintaining a close working relationship with YMCA supervisor.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with community and other stakeholders, including school Principals, Vice Principals, caretakers, and secretaries, licensing and Municipal Agencies, Public Health, Fire departments, YMCA families, Volunteers, and students.
- Complete general administration tasks, including updating forms, updating communication books, children's sign-in and out, ensuring Master Attendance is accurate and up-to-date, and submitting staff time sheets as required.
- Provide quality compassionate care and support to children and their families, building positive relationships with children and seeking opportunities to deepen connections with parents and families.
- Ensure supervision and safety of children at all times, understanding and complying with provincial, municipal, and YMCA policies and procedures.
- Observe and expand on children's learning opportunities, completing required documentation of children's development and interactions.
- Clean and sanitize child care spaces, toys, and equipment, preparing and serving food following YMCA health and safety protocols and procedures.
- Early Childhood Education Diploma or Equivalent Training Acceptable.
- Registered (or proof that registration is in process) and in good standing in the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in before and after school, child care, or extended day programs.
- Capacity to work within a multiple level reporting structure, demonstrated professionalism in working with School Board teachers and staff in delivery of shared, quality programs to school families.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities.
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification prior to the first day of work.
- Up-to-date immunizations required by Public Health.
- Ability to use frequent light to medium physical effort, lifting up to 20 kg (44 lbs.), bending, and stooping.
- Ability to work outdoors for at least 2 hours daily year-round, may be exposed to heat, humidity, or cold.
- Flexibility and adaptability regarding assigned working hours.

- Applicants are required to be a minimum of 18 years of age or older as per Ministry guidelines.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
