About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fish Processing Team Member to join our team at Great Lakes Food Company Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our fish and seafood products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Inspection and Packaging: Conduct thorough inspections of products and packaging to ensure conformance to company standards and make corrective adjustments as needed.
  • Machinery Operation: Set up and operate machines to can, bag, box, or otherwise package fish and seafood products, as well as clean, cut, cook, smoke, brine, dehydrate, or otherwise process fish or seafood products.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Transportation and Travel: Travel expenses will be paid by the employer.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: The role requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Weight Handling: The ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) is required.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent interpersonal skills, oral communication, flexibility, reliability, and teamwork are essential for this role.
  • Training and Development: Willingness to train and learn new skills is a must.
