Language Instruction Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Instructor to deliver language instruction in various international languages. The successful candidate will work on an as-needed basis, providing instruction in languages such as Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Tagalog, Spanish, Mandarin, and Ukrainian.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver language instruction to students in a classroom setting
- Work under the direction of the Principal, Continuing and Community Education
- Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalency
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Word and Excel
- Demonstrated experience working with children in a learning environment
- Proven ability to work in a co-operative and independent environment
- Demonstrated time management, scheduling, and organizational skills
- Previous experience with Continuing Education is an asset
- First Aid Certification is an asset
As a Supply Instructor with the York Region District School Board, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and colleagues, while developing your skills and experience in language instruction.
