Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical & Controls Superintendent to join our team at Downtownwindsor. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of electrical and control systems, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and control systems, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role. They will be responsible for supervising a team of electricians and control technicians, ensuring that all work is completed safely and efficiently.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring quality standards, assigning work to crews, and reporting production quantities to the office. They will be required to investigate alternative work methods and materials, and monitor job schedules and coordinate sub-contractors' work and suppliers' deliveries and equipment needs.

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including dental care, life insurance, paid time off, vision care, and flexible language requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise a team of electricians and control technicians to ensure that all work is completed safely and efficiently.
  2. Monitor quality standards and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.
  3. Assign work to crews and ensure that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  4. Report production quantities to the office and review labour productivity reports on a weekly basis.
  5. Investigate alternative work methods and materials to improve efficiency and quality.
  6. Monitor job schedules and coordinate sub-contractors' work and suppliers' deliveries and equipment needs.
Requirements

High School graduation plus post-secondary training (preferably 309A electrician license) or equivalent education, training and experience. A minimum of 5 years' recent related construction experience, including a thorough knowledge of construction industry practices, methods and processes.

Demonstrated experience applying knowledge of basic project controls, material management, contract management, and subcontract management. Track record of successfully executing projects on schedule and within budget. Current First Aid, WHMIS, and Working at Heights certifications.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
