Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Ontario Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess children's development to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote children's development.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote children's development.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in early childhood education.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers and community service providers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to observe and report on children's development.

English.

Work Hours:

40 hours per week.
