Job Summary

The Government of Nunavut is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our health services department, you will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and support to our health centre employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to Community Health Nurses (CHNs) and support staff.
  • Manage a significant budget for the provision of comprehensive health services in the community.
  • Use sound judgment to allocate funds in the most appropriate manner.
  • Support the provision of quality community health programming.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g. nursing, healthcare administration).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a healthcare leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing budgets and leading teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Assets
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
  • Experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment.
  • Fluency in Inuktut or other official languages of Nunavut.
