This is a unique opportunity to shape the strategic direction for Cloud and Platform Engineering, focusing on simplifying operations and enhancing capabilities. With your deep technical expertise and product management acumen, you will ensure our technology solutions meet the evolving needs of our development community while adhering to regulatory and internal requirements.

You will be responsible for defining a multi-year vision, strategy, and cross-platform roadmap for the Cloud Platform within Cloud and Platform Engineering. This will involve owning and maintaining the overall vision and roadmap across cloud computing areas, including foundation, infrastructure as code, serverless computing, containers, virtual machines, databases, storage, development patterns, DevSecOps, API, and events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Product Management for Cloud & Platform Engineering, overseeing a team of Senior Technology Product Managers.
  • Foster a disciplined approach to Technology Product Management, implementing and rolling out best practices.
  • Coordinate across technology product managers to ensure consistency and integration of Technology Products within the Cloud Platform.
  • Manage and mentor Senior Technical Product Managers and Technical Product Managers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Liaison with supporting teams across Scotiabank that Technology Product Managers work with frequently (e.g., Design, Finance, Programs).

As the ideal candidate, you will have a proven track record of leading and delivering complex, enterprise-scale cloud and platform engineering initiatives. You will possess a deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and services, as well as strong knowledge of modern software development methodologies, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code principles.

In addition, you will have experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and you will have demonstrated ability to lead and mentor high-performing product management teams.
