About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the IT department and business stakeholders to align and implement Information Security recommendations.
  2. Ensure timely escalation and notification for security and IT Risk-related recommendations.
  3. Examine records, reports, operating practices, and documentation to ensure compliance with established internal control procedures.
  4. Conduct vendor RFPs, business continuity, and information security questionnaires.
  5. Develop knowledge of the company's security strategy, associated policies, platform-specific standards, and control objectives.
  6. Prepare special audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trends.
  7. Maintain internal control systems by updating audit programs and questionnaires, recommending new policies, standards, and procedures.
  8. Identify weaknesses in systems networks and create action plans to prevent security breaches.
  9. Participate in the planning and execution of internal audit procedures and the creation of internal audit reports.
  10. Collaborate with clients to devise and implement policies and procedures regarding network security issues.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, accounting, or business administration.
  2. 0-2 years of work experience as an IT Auditor or in a related field.
  3. One or more of the following certifications considered an asset: CISSP, CISA, CISM.
  4. Knowledge of security and IT methodologies, standards, and best practices: ITIL, ISO 27002, NIST; other security-related frameworks considered an asset.
  5. Solid communication skills to understand technical jargon and translate it into business-related decisions for management and clients.
  6. Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and practices.
  7. Understanding of vulnerability management technologies, methodologies, and practices.
