The successful candidate will possess a Heavy Equipment Technician Certification and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in construction equipment mechanics. Knowledge of Komatsu products is an asset.

Responsibilities include:

  • Determining the nature of repairs and the time required for repair and failures.
  • Repairing and testing equipment to ensure it works and meets manufacturer's requirements.
  • Cleaning and lubricating equipment and performing routine maintenance.
  • Carrying out tasks assigned by the group leader and/or workshop supervisor.
  • Respecting established repair times and working in a safe manner.
  • Cleaning work area and maintaining workshop equipment in good condition.
  • Completing required documents such as time sheets and warranty reports.
  • Storing tools supplied by SMS in their respective locations.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess a Heavy Equipment Technician Certification and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in construction equipment mechanics. Knowledge of Komatsu products is an asset.
