About the Role

The Maintenance Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our community's facilities. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute general repair and maintenance work, including painting, plastering, basic plumbing, and electrical tasks.
  • Clean and maintain floors, hallways, and common areas.
  • Empty garbage and recycling receptacles regularly.
  • Maintain building exteriors, grounds, and parking lots.
  • Remove snow and apply salt to ensure resident and visitor safety.
  • Mow and water grass, tend to flower gardens, and apply fertilizer as needed.
  • Complete necessary forms and documents, and write reports as required.

Requirements

  • Certification, training, and work experience in building repairs, painting, and finishes, floor care, safety procedures, and property maintenance.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Proven customer service skills and excellent command of verbal and written English language.
  • Sound knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
