About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Geotechnical Engineering Graduate/EIT to join our team in Vancouver, BC. As a key member of our geotechnical team, you will play a critical role in delivering a wide range of geotechnical and geo-structural engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and planning geotechnical investigations, site inspections, and preparation of technical logs and field reports
  • Assisting senior staff with engineering analysis, design, and reporting
  • Managing construction support fieldwork, including geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring, and providing geotechnical advice during construction
  • Developing proposals, work plans, and cost estimates for geotechnical projects
  • Coordinating and managing geotechnical projects involving ground improvement, deep foundations, excavation, and shoring, slope stabilization, groundwater management, and other advanced geotechnical/geo-structural projects

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A university degree in Geotechnical, Civil Engineering, or Geological Engineering
  • Eligibility to register as an Engineer in Training in BC
  • Between 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in the field of geotechnical engineering
  • Strong organization, planning, report writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in extended hours and travel within BC and AB
  • A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of working with relevant software such as MS Office and Geotechnical software including GINT, GeoStudio, Rocscience, Ensoft, Plaxis, etc.
