About the RoleThis leadership position reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer and requires a strong understanding of corporate planning and finance principles. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing inclusive leadership and direction to a department of approximately 775 employees, ensuring that each business unit service is consistent with our mission.
The Corporate Planning and Finance Director will be responsible for:
- Leading and Developing Others: Through an inclusive leadership approach, develop people to meet both their career goals and the organization's goals, creating a development-focused culture and supporting others' development efforts.
- Strategic Planning and Governance: Collaborate with the Chief Administrative Officer and Council to identify short-medium and long-term strategic priorities and lead the development of strategic, business, and operational plans.
- Financial Management and Accountability: Ensure the financial capacity of the organization is effectively managed, taking overall responsibility for designing, developing, and delivering the organization's financial management and control strategy.
- Performance Management and Risk Mitigation: Set and lead the delivery of annual and long-term departmental objectives, manage and report on performance, and take corrective action where necessary.
