**Overview:**

Aplin is partnering with a leading company to recruit a Senior Corporate Controller. This critical role involves overseeing financial consolidation, elimination entries, financial statements, regulatory filings, and select operational accounting functions.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Financial Accounting & Reporting:
    • Record and document financial transactions accurately.
    • Manage month-end and quarter-end reporting deadlines effectively.
    • Collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
    • Pursue payroll-related accounting responsibilities.
    • Contribute to special projects as needed.
  • Month/Period-End Process:
    • Ensure month-end closing occurs within the specified timeframe.
    • Optimize closing processes to reduce timelines.
    • Regularly review and reconcile accounts.
    • Support the development of financial reports.
    • Maintain accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Financial Statement Preparation:
    • Prepare and review financial statements and relevant regulatory submissions.
    • E nsure that financial reports adhere to company-wide standards.
    • Implement and maintain consolidated reporting procedures.
    • Document and prepare necessary journal entries.
    • Compose financial memoranda on key accounting matters.
    • Oversee financial data transfer between offices.

**Requirements & Qualifications:**

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or auditing.
  • Post-secondary degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Expertise in IFRS accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Microsoft Business Central experience is advantageous.
  • Background in audit processes and financial documentation.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
