Financial Accountant, Accounts Receivable Specialist

About this roleWe are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant, Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for general duties of the Finance Department, specifically in accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash receipts, cash disbursements, and credit management.
This position reports directly to the Director of Finance and requires strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. If you're a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.
Key responsibilities- Verify completeness and accuracy of invoice requisitions;
- Prepare and issue invoices on the Financial Management System (FMS);
- Post payments to the Accounts Receivable sub ledger and follow-up on any discrepancies;
- Develop and implement appropriate collection procedures for different debtors in accordance with policy; and
- Participate in year-end process as it pertains to A/R functions.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum 2-year diploma in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or related/relevant field;
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience with integrated financial information systems utilizing the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and student record system modules;
- Practical experience with A/R collection practices and procedures, as well as, credit management.

Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and life insurance, as well as a pension plan and other perks.
