Key Responsibilities- Health and Safety Leadership
- Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies and programs to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to employees, managers, and clients on health and safety best practices and procedures.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting
- Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit incident reports to regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
- Training and Development
- Design and deliver health and safety training programs for employees and clients to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- Develop and maintain training materials, including presentations, handouts, and online resources.
- Compliance and Regulatory Affairs
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate health and safety information and updates to employees, managers, and clients through various channels.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective health and safety management and compliance.
- Education and Experience
- Post-secondary education in health and safety or a related field.
- Minimum 3-7 years of experience in health and safety in a large, multi-faceted organization.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety laws, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid first aid and CPR certification.
