Job Title: Senior Construction Manager MEP

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Manager MEP to lead our construction team in executing large-scale projects in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the on-site construction operations, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments, and guaranteeing a high level of quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Construction Health and Safety: Foster a culture of safety in daily operations, making it our top priority.
  • Constructability Input: Provide invaluable input during design, craft project execution plans, and resolve technical challenges on-site in the most cost-efficient ways.
  • On-Site Operations: Oversee every aspect of on-site construction, including safety, client interface, procurement, quality, and execution.
  • Change and Scope Management: Manage change and scope creep, maintaining control and balance of costs, schedules, and people.
  • Culture and Communication: Encourage a culture of collaboration and integrity, and open communication with clients and subcontractors, ensuring an environment where "one team" prevails.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 10 years of construction experience with a strong understanding of pressure piping code requirements and TSSA standards.
  • Project Execution: Proven track record of seamlessly executing complex projects, building trust and respect among stakeholders.
  • Construction Sequencing: Extensive expertise in managing on-site construction of multidisciplinary designs, with advanced understanding of construction sequencing techniques.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal), coupled with effective listening and negotiation abilities.
  • Adaptability: Determinate and resilient with an adaptability in overcoming challenges and maintaining focus under pressure.
  • Education: College or university degree, complemented by a strong background of experiences including knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Preference: Preference given to those with a mechanical engineering degree and strong understanding of HVAC, mechanical processes, piping, underground electrical conduits, steam, etc.
