The HSE Advisor plays a vital role in maintaining a safe work environment, fostering a positive company culture, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement safety programs and initiatives to minimize risks and prevent injuries

- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions

- Collaborate with supervisors and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and encourage reporting of near misses and incidents

- Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence

- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employees' understanding of safety procedures and protocols

- Ensure accurate record-keeping of safety-related data, including incident reports and training records

- Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and external stakeholders regarding safety-related matters

- Provide guidance and support to employees on safety procedures, protocols, and best practices

- Participate in emergency response planning and preparedness exercises

Requirements:

- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety, or related field

- Minimum three years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in the construction industry

- Strong knowledge of OHS legislation, regulations, and industry standards

- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety programs and initiatives

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Physical ability to perform job duties, including standing, walking, and lifting occasionally
