Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Summit Employment Solutions. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems, including MongoDB databases and Kafka Clusters.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement data pipelines using agile methodologies.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data systems.
  3. Develop and maintain MongoDB databases and Kafka Clusters, ensuring high performance and scalability.
  4. Perform DBA functions, including database schema changes, bottleneck analysis, and outage prevention/resolution.
  5. Develop tools for KAFKA and MongoDB, ensuring efficient data processing and analysis.
  6. Enforce database security, standards, and guidelines to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Requirements
  1. 4-6 years of prior experience in data engineering.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in Python programming.
  3. 3-5 years of experience with MongoDB and/or KAFKA.
  4. Basic knowledge of other databases is a plus.
  5. Basic knowledge of agile and DevOps is a plus.
  6. Versioning tools such as Git is a plus.
  7. Bachelor's degree or diploma.
  8. Demonstrated ability to lead a high-performing team.
  9. Ability to easily communicate in both French and English.

Compensation

$90k - $100k (Based on Experience)
