Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Sun Gro Horticulture, a leading North American horticultural company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join its team. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a critical role in preparing, analyzing, and validating financial data to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of the SG&A annual budget and forecast, ensuring accurate analysis and variance reporting.
  • Prepare and record financial transactions via journal entries, including accruals and recurring entries, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to support financial statements and ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Develop and maintain financial management reports, including multi-currency and multi-company accounting, to provide insights into business performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, meeting all deadlines and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting theory, including multi-currency experience.
  • CPA/MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, with a proven track record of financial analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees and management.
