Meat Associate

Job Summary:

As a Meat Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the high standards of our meat department. Your responsibilities will include zoning the department, rotating stock, and ensuring that all merchandise is properly signed and priced. You will also be responsible for adhering to our standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, and food handling. Additionally, you will take orders for Deli Department merchandise, slice and prepare meat, cheese, and other products, and provide requested assistance to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Zone the department to ensure a clean and organized environment for customers.
2. Rotate stock to ensure that all products are fresh and of high quality.
3. Ensure that all merchandise is properly signed and priced.
4. Adhere to our standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, and food handling.
5. Take orders for Deli Department merchandise and provide requested assistance to customers.
6. Slice and prepare meat, cheese, and other products as needed.
7. Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
8. Prepare deli food orders and fill prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display area and specialty orders from customers as required.
9. Follow Health and Safety guidelines.

Requirements:

Age - 16 or older.
