Risk Analytics Specialist Job Summary

Work with the Royal Bank of Canada's Group Risk Management team on risk analytics projects, leveraging your analytical skills to drive business growth and minimize risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Extract, Convert, and Investigate Default and Loss Data: Utilize your technical skills to extract, convert, and investigate default and loss data, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Research Statistical Approaches and Best Practices: Conduct research on various statistical approaches and best practices to support risk analytics work, staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
  • Conduct Statistical and/or Correlation Analysis: Apply your analytical skills to conduct statistical and/or correlation analysis for default and loss data, identifying trends and patterns to inform business decisions.
Required Skills:
  • Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Credit Risk Analytics: Strong understanding of credit risk analytics principles and practices.
  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in your work.
  • Listening Effectively: Strong listening skills to understand business needs and requirements.
  • Microsoft Excel VBA Programming: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel VBA programming to develop and maintain analytical models.
  • Personal Development: Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development to stay current with industry trends and developments.
  • Python (Programming Language): Strong programming skills in Python to develop and maintain analytical models.
  • Risk Analytics: Strong understanding of risk analytics principles and practices.
  • SAS: Proficiency in SAS to develop and maintain analytical models.
  • Statistics: Strong understanding of statistical principles and practices.
  • Structured Query Language (SQL): Proficiency in SQL to develop and maintain analytical models.
  • Taking Initiative: Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and taking initiative to drive results.
