About This Opportunity

The Wohl Group is seeking a Precision Manufacturing Expert to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for developing high-quality components for aerospace, spaceflight, and industrial industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to review customer requirements and develop machining strategies
  • Determine machining strategies and generate CNC programs, machining setup sheets, and tool lists for multi-axis machining systems
  • Develop work-holding strategies and design fixtures for complex geometries
  • Assist the shop floor in adhering to AS91000 requirements and participate in risk analysis and root cause corrective action processes
  • Maintain continuous process improvement to reduce costs, improve quality, and increase throughput

Requirements

  • College diploma or engineering degree in a related technical discipline
  • Minimum five years of experience in precision CNC machining environments
  • Minimum five years of experience in multi-axis CNC programming
  • Expert-level proficiency in Mastercam software
  • Demonstrated experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing work-holding strategies and fixture design
  • Experience with AS9100 requirements and principles is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Metrology Software Product (MSP) is regarded as an asset
  • Hands-on experience with advanced CNC systems with Fanuc controls and Renishaw probing systems is considered an asset
  • Experience in the Aerospace and/or Space industries are viewed as an asset
