Job Description

We are seeking a Dietary Aide to join our Food Service team at the Finch Reactivation Care Centre facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the nutrition needs of our patients and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to patients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Operate dish room and pot wash room equipment to wash dishes and cooking equipment.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Requirements
  • Diploma or equivalent in secondary education required.
  • Good command of the English language (English reading and writing test administered).
  • Minimum of 3 years hospital food service experience, including knowledge of safe food handling and HACCP practices preferred.
  • Food Handlers Certificate Required.
  • Computer knowledge an asset.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutritional supplements beneficial.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push weights of 25lbs or more frequently throughout shift.
