About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Property Claims Adjuster to join our Field Claims team at Aviva Canada. As a Property Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for handling personal and commercial claims, conducting site inspections, and preparing repair estimates to settle claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site and/or virtual inspections of claims to assess damages and determine the scope of repairs.
  • Prepare and review repair estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Reconcile and validate vendor estimates to ensure price and scope are appropriate.
  • Investigate claims by gathering information from insureds, third parties, witnesses, and lawyers.
  • Review policy details, technical reports, and case law to make informed decisions on coverage and claim value.
  • Provide excellent customer service and keep related parties informed of claim status.
  • Ensure data accuracy and issue payments to insureds, vendors, and other insurance companies.
  • Assist with catastrophe responses in Canada.
  • Correspond with third parties, lawyers, insureds, brokers, and other stakeholders to resolve claims.

    Requirements:

    • 2+ years of experience as a Field Adjuster handling personal and commercial lines claims.
    • Strong background in property insurance.
    • Ability to scope damages and prepare repair estimates.
    • Good PC skills and adaptability with new technology.
    • Valid driver's license.
