FortisBC is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our corporate security program, driving strategic initiatives that ensure the safety of employees and communities across the province.

About the Role

As a Manager, Corporate Security, you will be responsible for developing and executing province-wide security strategies, including risk assessments and security policies. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify and develop applicable policies, patterns, and practices, ensuring the evolution of corporate security management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute corporate security strategies, including risk assessments and security policies.
  • Work across multiple programs as a subject matter expert to identify and develop applicable policies, patterns, and practices.
  • Modernize the future of corporate security by planning activities and staying up to date on emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Drive forward the performance of corporate security by establishing key performance indicators and service level agreements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in law, law enforcement, business, or public administration, science, or a related discipline from an accredited university, plus a minimum of eight to 10 years of recent and related experience in asset or building management within a leadership capacity.
  • Equivalent combination of education, related training, and experience may be considered.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional designation is preferred.
  • Knowledge in developing investigative strategies, conducting investigations of a complex and sensitive nature, and a demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills to engage with stakeholders across the business.
