Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Machine Builder to join our team. As a Machine Builder, you will be responsible for building and assembling special-purpose machinery.
Main Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and bills of materials
- Fabricate and machine basic metal components and assemblies as required
- Fit and assemble parts and sub-assemblies to build special-purpose machinery
- Integrate pneumatic and hydraulic systems into special-purpose machinery
- Coordinate with the Electrician and PLC Programmer to provide for their needs in a timely manner
- Conduct test runs with completed equipment to ensure parts meet specifications and make adjustments if necessary
- Ensure adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and other industry standards in all activities
- Provide mechanical support during debug, integration, and machine acceptance
- Reassemble equipment to the point of buy-off at the customer's site and train maintenance and operators on running equipment and following safety procedures
- Verify conformance of manufactured parts to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as scales, calipers, micrometers, and fixed gauges
Requirements:
- Five years' experience in machine assembly and/or millwright experience, preferably with machining skills, ability to set up machines and make adjustments, building with specs
- Fabricating skills
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision instruments (Imperial and Metric)
- Ability to read and interpret pneumatic schematics
- Experience with rigging/lifting techniques
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
