Job Title: Foodbank Warehouse Worker

Join The Salvation Army team as a Foodbank Warehouse Worker and contribute to our mission of serving those in need.

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to assist in the operations of collecting and processing donations. As a Foodbank Warehouse Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient sorting, spacing, and loading of donated items.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process donated items, including unloading, sorting, and loading
  • Create and maintain donor/donation records and report statistics
  • Replenish inventory levels based on supervisor's directions
  • Assist with receiving phone calls, receiving donations, and handling public inquiries within Salvation Army policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education:

We are looking for individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent, and relevant life experience. You must be able to work in Canada today.

Required Skills/Knowledge:
  • Excellent customer service ethics and ability to deal with the public in a friendly manner
  • Proven ability to work in a team setting and willingness to take personal initiatives
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Universal precautions and ability to adapt to change and interruptions to a normal work routine
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Skills/Capabilities:

Basic computer skills and some knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications are preferred.
