Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Remediation Design Engineer to join our North American team. As part of our Project Engineering Design and Construction role, you will specialize in contaminated sites and support our team based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support strategic pursuits focused on federal sector and private industrial clients
  • Provide senior leadership and mentorship for environmental remediation projects
  • Work within multi-disciplinary project teams, providing environmental advice to other GHD teams
  • Remain current on standard methodologies for innovative remediation approaches
  • Manage design projects, including project teams, budgets, timelines, and deliverables
  • Manage the development and review of technical environmental reports, drawings, and specifications
  • Opportunity to work on local, national, and global projects, which may entail supporting other GHD office locations requiring some travel
  • Support and mentor junior team members in a learning and collaborative atmosphere
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • 15+ years experience in environmental remediation and/or risk management
  • Accredited Professional Engineer in Canada or the US
  • Civil or environmental engineering degree
  • Possession of P.Eng. designation to stamp/certify designs
  • Experience with developing and implementing strategies for complex remediation and/or risk management
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Strong commitment to client service excellence
