Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of resident rooms, common areas, and other designated spaces. This is a critical role that requires a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, and other designated spaces on a scheduled basis.
  • Vacuum and dust furniture and floors in resident rooms and common areas.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, equipment, and other areas as assigned.
  • Prepare cleaning solutions and utilize cleaning supplies in accordance with established procedures and safe practices.
  • Ensure that furniture is arranged to provide a safe and efficient environment.
  • Check and restock laundry supplies as required.
  • Ensure laundry equipment and supplies are used and stored in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Report any unsafe or faulty equipment to the Director of Care.
  • Ensure health, safety, and hygiene practices are adhered to and assist in maintaining quality assurance standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Grade 10 education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Institutional certificate is an asset.
  • Knowledge about the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment required.
